The Monterey Gate is an American Mission style design with a gently peaked top rail and a panel of strong vertical pickets interrupted by short horizontal crossbars at intervals. The crossbars create a grid-like pattern that reads as more structured than simple pickets but more open than full lattice. The gate mounts between solid square posts topped with flat pyramid caps. Black iron strap hinges and a ring latch complete the hardware. The vertical emphasis and restrained ornament are characteristic of the American Mission style. This gate pairs naturally with the Monterey Arbor or any of our other arbors and arches. All gates include traditional black iron strap hinges and a ring latch.
