These garage pergolas are perfectly adapted to long spans over double garage doors. We have designed four distinct styles that can be customized for depth and length, and can also be used with our wall trellis grids to support vine growth.

Each style addresses common garage pergola design challenges: length of span, the lack of suitable area for brackets below the structure, and the need to create visual interest on a large unadorned wall.
The trellis part of the pergola is suspended below the brackets. This allows for support over a single door to a double-sized garage or where the center divider has a sconce in the way of a lower bracket.

A traditional style with brackets supporting the pergola from below. Clean lines with two layers: purlins sitting directly on the rafters. Also available with trellises on either side for vine support.

This angled pergola is perfect for larger areas over the garage where a visual fill may be needed. Works especially well for larger garage openings of 16 feet or greater.

The Manchester pergola features heavier brackets and three layers — beams, rafters, and purlins — creating a strong visual statement. Ideal for homes with traditional or colonial architecture.

We can also create a completely custom garage pergola for your individual style requirements. Past projects range from Victorian brackets for a San Francisco "painted lady" to contemporary designs incorporating stainless steel rods as a support structure.
